🌳 Tree Nursery & Environmental Conservation Project

Project Overview

The Tree Nursery & Environmental Conservation Project is a green enterprise initiative implemented by Alego Young Entrepreneurs (AYE) CBO in Siaya County.

The project equips youth and women with practical skills in tree seedling production, nursery management, and environmental restoration — creating income opportunities while combating climate change.

Through youth-led nurseries, we promote afforestation, agroforestry, and ecosystem restoration to strengthen climate resilience and sustainable livelihoods.

Project Goal

To create green jobs for youth while promoting environmental conservation and climate change mitigation through tree seedling production and distribution.

Objectives

  • Train youth in tree nursery establishment and management

  • Promote afforestation and agroforestry practices

  • Increase access to quality tree seedlings

  • Support youth-led green enterprises

  • Contribute to climate change mitigation and adaptation
