Chris Omollo – Programs Coordinator

Chris Omollo is the Programs Coordinator and Co-Founder of Alego Young Entrepreneurs (AYE) CBO, a youth-led community-based organization based in Siaya County, Kenya. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics from Egerton University. Chris is passionate about youth empowerment, climate action, and advancing sustainable agricultural development.

At AYE CBO, Chris leads the design, coordination, and implementation of programs that equip young people with practical skills and entrepreneurship opportunities in climate-resilient agricultural value chains. Through training, mentorship, and community engagement, he supports youth and women to develop sustainable livelihoods while promoting environmental conservation through climate-smart agriculture and tree planting initiatives.

Chris also serves as the CEO of Komollo Farms Enterprise, an agribusiness initiative based in Siaya County that focuses on agricultural production, value addition, and market-oriented farming. Through this enterprise, he promotes climate-resilient farming practices and works with farmers and young agripreneurs to strengthen agricultural productivity, value addition, and access to markets.

With strong experience in project management, monitoring and evaluation (M&E), financial management, and resource mobilization, Chris has contributed to the planning and implementation of community-based development programs. He works closely with partners, stakeholders, and local communities to ensure effective program delivery, accountability, and measurable impact.

Chris believes that empowering young people with practical skills and opportunities in sustainable agriculture is key to creating jobs, strengthening food systems, and building resilient rural economies in Siaya and beyond.
