Apiculture Development Project

Project Overview

The Apiculture Development Project is a youth-led green enterprise initiative implemented by Alego Young Entrepreneurs (AYE) CBO in Siaya County.

The project equips youth and women with practical skills in modern beekeeping, honey processing, value addition, and market access. Apiculture provides a low-cost, high-impact income opportunity that is climate-friendly and environmentally sustainable.

Beekeeping requires minimal land, is resilient to drought conditions, and promotes biodiversity through pollination, making it ideal for youth-led climate-smart enterprises.
